After a dull period, Yuvan is really back with nice songs and apt BGM. Music is composed by Seenu Ramasamy’s favorite music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. Few of his witty dialogues are enjoyable. Kanja Karuppu is back in action after a long gap. M.S.Bhaskar never fails to impress us in each movie, this is also not an exception. Tamanna has done complete justice to her character. Though her screen presence is limited, she did a wonderful job. Among the three, Aishwarya Rajesh stands out. Easily one of the best role in her career.įilm has three lead ladies – Tamanna, Aishwarya Rajesh and Srushti Dange. Next to him is Radhika Sharathkumar, as Vijay Sethupathy’s mother she nailed it. As a rural drunkard guy, a doctor, a lover boy and a son, he has showed different avatars through his acting. His performance in the flash back portion in one particular scene was outstanding. Vijay Sethupathy gets a meaty role and he is perfect fit. Happenings in his love life, profession, marriage, friendship and family frames the main plot of the film. Coming to the story, movie speaks about the life of a village guy from his age 24 to 34. Cast: VijaySethupathi, Tamannah, Aishwarya Rajesh, Radhikaĭharma Durai Expectations are obviously high as the film is coming from a national award winning combo (‘Thenmerku Paruvakaatru’).

Dharmadurai brings forward a watchable family drama working towards sending off a proper message to the society with entertainment of course. Cinematography by Sukumar captures wonderful sceneries easily, and the editing too is above par. To see these, it might take a slight toll on your patience, but the final verdict goes to the common folk who will lap up this film with eagerness.ĭharmadurai may not be Yuvan’s best, but his score for the film is surely pleasing enough. There is plenty to look forward to in Dharmadurai, be it the social service, respect for woman, friendship and family bonding. Vijay Sethupathy’s interesting choice of scripts continues into Dharmadurai too, making him a bankable hero for family audiences. Kanja Karuppu who partly took in charge for the giggles has done his work neatly.Ĭredit must be given to the director for not portraying any cinematic formats just to entertain the audience rather, he has be practical in his narrations making Dharmadurai an acceptable hero. Arul Doss is again gifted with a good role and plays one of Vijay Sethupathy’s brother with brutal looks and turns a right choice along the supportive roles.

Radhika certainly lives any character and that makes her versatile, her modulations and performance makes no mistake and her acts get stronger frame by frame. There is certainly no compromise for a hero or anybody else in that sake which puts Dharmadurai in the right slot of good cinema. The lead heroines Tamanna, Shristi and Ishwarya Rajesh compromise our patience with their acting skills and certainly not used as glam dolls and therefore is the gesture from the director in the art of film making. The search for the reason takes a huge time to lend an explanation, it certainly turns to be a compulsion to reveal the flash back which makes the audience a little impatient. The entire first half is the life story of Vijay sethupathi’s and his drinking habits, the love of his mother Radhika and the hate by his brothers.

Vijay sethupathy, Tamanna, Shristi Dange and other friends plan to serve the people and the resulting life events after college are emotionally packed. As usual Seenu Ramasamy has let his characters speak, Vijay Sethupathy looks apt for the emotional travel as the winning factor of the movie lies in the right choice of characters with most of them getting it right throughout.Ī medical college student Vijay Sethupathy, the lonely educated student from the remote village gets inspired by a senior professor Rajesh and plans to follow his footprints by serving the people instead of looking at his wealthy career. The movie is based on social service and it certainly shows what this society is looking forward from the educated youth of this generation and along with this, the director had ample time to exhibit his characters through a simple plot and strong narration. With a spectacular performance from the entire cast, director Seenu Ramaswamy has put a yet another hard hitting film in his filmography.
